Before you book from abroad
- Book tests early in the stay, so that the results and the follow-up consultation happen before you leave.
- Check the clinic's licence, or its doctor's registration, in the official register of the country you are visiting. Each destination page names the registers used there.
- Ask for your results and a written report in English, and send them to your own doctor (CDC).
- Most travel insurance policies do not cover planned treatment abroad, so check your policy before you book (NHS).
